Winter at Catherine Vale requires long days of examining the vines and making decisions on how to best prune each of are over 9000 vines.  Wendy has help from Jim from the US .   These Chardonnay vines are the first to be pruned and the first to have budburst.

Wendy Lawson OAM Award

Catherine Vale is pleased to announce that the Queen’s Birthday Honours list published nationally Monday contains the name of our own Wendy Lawson.  Wendy receives the award of OAM the order of Australia Medal:  The citation says :

“For service to the community of the Hunter Valley region through a range of roles with environmental and tourism organizations and viticulture.’’
